Aaron M. Thompson began taking pictures at 12, when his Grandpa "Pop" Thompson gave him an old Argus SLR in Carmel, California. Since then, the Mendocino County native moved to New York City and began photographing disparate landscapes that often included both the natural and urban worlds. In 2015 with the loss of his father. Thompson ended up in Asheboro, North Carolina away from the hustle and bustle of Lower Manhattan. He now sells his framed prints at The Brightside Gallery in Downtown Asheboro. Thompson, who is also an accomplished painter and designer, has built a collection of work that showcases his travels and the twinned themes of city life and green spaces.
